Thanks to Alyssa Dugger for taking action to find a cure! During her reign as USA National Miss Tennessee (she’ll be competing for the national title in Atlanta in June), Alyssa created a fundraising plan including designing and selling t-shirts to help raise awareness for early detection. She presented the Greater Nashville Affiliate a check for $2,250.00!

The driving force behind her campaign came from a personal tragedy where a family friend suspected a breast health issue but wouldn’t take the time to see a doctor. She unfortunately passed away from breast cancer and has inspired Alyssa to educate women about the importance of early detection. Alyssa is from Waverly and is a freshman at Tennessee Tech.
